Good value for annual plan

I was looking for something affordable to manage my projects and found Contractor Foreman. The annual billing discount was a big factor for me, saving me a good chunk compared to monthly. I tried the 35-day free trial first, which was plenty of time to see if it fit my needs. The Project Management Dashboard works well. I felt like I got my money's worth.

Love the mobile app!

Seriously, the Mobile Construction App is a game changer for my business! I was able to update our Punch Lists right from the job site, and even upload photos to document progress. It synced up perfectly with the main system back at the office. No more waiting until I get back to my desk to get things done. It just makes everything so much faster and smoother for me and my team. Definitely going to keep using this for all our projects!

Solid software, easy to use

Signed up for Contractor Foreman for Project Management. The interface is clean and easy to navigate. I found the Time Tracking and GPS features very useful for my crew. Integration with Zapier was also a bonus. The pricing was fair. My only minor gripe is the mobile app can be a little slow to load sometimes.

Good for daily logs, but slow

This was my third time using Contractor Foreman, mostly for their Daily Logs App and the Project Management Dashboard. The daily logs are always solid and easy for my crew to update. The dashboard gives a good overview, as usual. This time though, it took about three days for my subscription to fully activate after renewal, which was a bit of a pain. Usually it's instant, so that was a bit of a letdown. Still, it's reliable for the most part, which is why I keep coming back.

Easy project scheduling

I just tried out the Project Scheduling Tool for a couple of jobs. It was pretty easy to get the hang of. Everything was clear, and it made keeping track of things way less of a headache. Felt good to have it all organized.

Good features, solid support

I signed up for Contractor Foreman a few months back, mainly for the Project Management Dashboard and the Estimating Software. The onboarding was pretty straightforward, and the initial setup didn't take too long. I especially liked the QuickBooks Integration; it saved a lot of time. Delivery of the service, since it's software, was immediate, of course. I had a question about customizing a report for financial reporting, and customer support got back to me within a few hours with clear instructions. The mobile app works well for daily logs, although sometimes it's a bit slow to sync photos. Overall, it's been a reliable tool for my business.

Mostly positive, some minor kinks

I moved over to Contractor Foreman from another platform primarily for their Bid Management and Submittal features. The transition was smoother than expected, and the integration with Xero was a big plus for my accounting. The mobile construction app is generally very functional for site work, though I've noticed it occasionally crashes when trying to upload large sets of photos from the field. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about it. The overall value is good, especially with the multi-user discount I received, but that app stability could use a slight improvement.

Great value for the money

As a new contractor, I was really focused on getting the best deal. I opted for the annual plan to get the savings, which was a good chunk off compared to monthly. The 35-day free trial was perfect to test out the Lead Management and CRM for Contractors without commitment. The pricing felt very competitive, especially after comparing it to some other options like Buildertrend. I used the Inspection Checklists feature quite a bit. My only small wish is they offered a few more payment plan options for the annual subscription, but it was still a solid purchase.

Comparing this to Buildertrend. Anyone used both and can tell me if CF is really more affordable or what the main differences are?

M Melissa R. 1 month ago
Buildertrend can get pricey fast, especially with more users or features. Contractor Foreman definitely feels like it offers more bang for your buck, especially with their annual discounts. Feature-wise, they both cover a lot, but CF's interface feels a bit cleaner to me.

I switched from Buildertrend. CF was way cheaper for what I needed, and the learning curve was much lower. Buildertrend has more bells and whistles, but a lot of it was overkill for my business.

Thinking of getting an annual subscription to save some money. Do they automatically apply the discount or do I need some kind of code?

J Joseph Nguyen 1 week ago
No code needed for the annual discount. It just gets applied when you pick the annual billing option during signup or renewal. Easy peasy.

Just choose the annual plan. The price difference compared to monthly should show up right away, no special hoops to jump through.

Does Contractor Foreman have a free trial? Don't want to commit without seeing if it's actually easy to use.

B Ben Martin 1 month ago
Yep, they do! I think it's like 35 days, which is pretty generous. Gives you enough time to really kick the tires.

35-day free trial, confirmed. You can test out most of the features, I believe.

Does Contractor Foreman have a mobile app? Need to access stuff on the job site without lugging my laptop around.

D David Torres 1 month ago
Yep, they have a mobile app. It's pretty solid for daily logs, time tracking, and looking up project info on the go.

They do! Makes it super convenient for field staff to update things in real-time. I use it all the time for photos and punch lists.

Is Contractor Foreman any good for smaller companies? We're only a crew of 5 and don't want to overpay for features we won't use.

A Aaron Lopez 1 month ago
I think so. I'm a small contractor myself, and it's been pretty easy to set up and use. They have different plans, so you can probably find one that fits your size without breaking the bank.

It's designed to be pretty scalable. I've heard good things from other small business owners about it being user-friendly for their needs.

Thinking of switching from Buildertrend to Contractor Foreman. Anyone used both and have thoughts on how they stack up, especially for smaller crews?

S Sean Smith 2 weeks ago
I moved from Buildertrend to CF last year. Buildertrend felt kinda clunky and overkill for my small residential jobs. CF is way more intuitive, and the price difference was a huge factor. Still has pretty much all the features I need.
6
M Matt Mitchell 1 week ago
Yeah, I hear that. Buildertrend has a lot, but sometimes it's just too much. CF seems to hit a sweet spot for sure, especially on the pricing side.

Hey, thinking about switching to Contractor Foreman. Is their 100-day money-back guarantee legit? Like, if I hate it after 2 months, can I actually get my money back no questions asked?

S Sofia Green 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I used it. I didn't need to return it, but my buddy did after like 60 days because it wasn't a good fit for his super niche business, and he said they refunded him no problem.
5
Z Zach Sanchez 1 week ago
AFAIK, as long as you're within the 100 days from your initial purchase date, you can get a full refund. Just make sure to read their terms on it, but it seems pretty straightforward.

What about integrations? I use QuickBooks for my accounting, will this software play nice with that?

N Nick 3 weeks ago
Totally. It integrates with QuickBooks, which is super handy. Saves a bunch of time on manual data entry.

A Andrew 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they integrate with both QuickBooks and Xero. Pretty standard for these kinds of platforms now.
